Local web apps
Share localhost with your team, privately.
Show a teammate the site running on your laptop, review an API before it ships, or let a client try a build, without giving it a public URL that anyone can find.
Free for you and two services. Built on OpenZiti by Actieve.
A private address instead of a public URL
Public tunnel tools are great when the whole internet needs to reach something, like a webhook. For work in progress, a public URL is more exposure than you need. Project Zero gives your local web app an address such as http://wiki.acme.ziti that resolves only for people you allow.
Made for teams
- Share into your company so everyone on the team can reach it, or to a single reviewer.
- Keep the same address every day, instead of a new random URL each session.
- Share APIs, admin panels, internal wikis, Grafana dashboards and anything else on HTTP or HTTPS.
- Turn a share off when you're done; its address stops working right away.
Questions
Good to know.
Can people outside my company see it?
Only if you give them access, by email or with a share link you create.
Is this the same as ngrok?
It solves a different problem. ngrok gives a local service a public URL; Project Zero gives it a private one. See Project Zero vs ngrok.
